Female-health related innovation
CEO and Founder of nVision MedicalUC Berkeley AlumDraper University Alum & Change Agent of Women’s Health
“Draper University encouraged me to be the type of founder and person that I want to be.With a long list of speakers which included successful entrepreneurs and investors, Draper University equipped us with the practical tools needed to start and run a company – everything from term sheet basics, the art of negotiation to real estate law, marketing analysis, the importance of speed to market and more. Understanding all of these topics is invaluable, of course, but for me the biggest gift was the certainty it gave me that just because I am optimistic, does not mean that I am naive. Draper University taught me that it is possible to be a good person and a good businesswoman at the same time and that society needs more people who believe that they can positively impact our world and are willing to take risks to do so. “
When she was 13, Surbhi Sarna was a patient. It was then that she realized she wanted to fill the void in female-health related innovation. nVision is an early-stage, venture backed medical device company that is dedicated to building a portfolio of novel and propriety technologies to do just that. nVision has developed a device which will significantly advance the diagnosis of the leading cause of female infertility, fallopian tube blockage. Future iterations of this product will allow gynecologists to detect ovarian cancer at earlier stages, therefore preventing the spread of this lethal cancer.

“Draper University has not only changed the way I view my business, but also the way I view my life. Each day I would come home with a new perspective and epiphany about where I see my career, my life, and the world going. I will always be indebted to this school for the possibilities it opened for me. In all my education, this was the program that inspired me most. No matter how wacky the days seemed, there was always substance behind it.“
