Alex is a passionate engineer who has completed 9 prototypes and 3 publications, mainly in the wearable technology space. He recently participated in Boost’s incubator after completing Draper University. Alex is currently the Founder & CEO of TestLegends, Inc.
When Surbhi was 13 she suffered from an ovarian cyst and physicians couldn’t tell whether or not it was cancerous without performing a risky, invasive surgery. It was then that she decided to one day start a company dedicated to women’s health. She is a UC Berkeley trained engineer and was named as one of Forbes 30 under 30.
Simon is an award winning pioneer in the field of hydrogen energy. He has been recognized by the Premier of British Columbia, was named a “Top 20 Under 20” Canadian by Youth In Motion, an “Emerging Innovator” by Ashoka and American Express, and was nominated for Forbes 30 Under 30 for his plan to develop hydrogen vehicle networks.
Kendra graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in management and economics. She is the founder of a microloan program focused on funding small businesses in Kamuli, Uganda and co-founder of the socially-centered peanut butter company, Peanuts4Peanuts.
Lizzie graduated from Middlebury College and is the co-author of a study accepted to a top-tier global health journal on the impact of food aid for people living with HIV. A trip to Haiti as an economic consultant for non-profit clinics inspired her to co-found Peanuts4Peanuts.
Gabe founded a web hosting company called SteadCom (sold to eTecc ’10) and an online virtual currency exchange (sold ’04), and is now the Co-Founder and VP of Online Marketing and Product Design at EquityLancer.
With access to some of the rarest gemstones in the world, Christine has had the pleasure of making one-of-a-kind works that have been notable to her customers, peers, and media alike. She is also involved on an industry level to support the next generation of jewelers and their more modern needs.
Scott is an internet professional with Finance, Product Management, and M&A experience from Yahoo!. Scott holds a degree in Business Economics from UCLA, and is currently the Director of Growth at Actively Learn.
We offer public tours of our campus nearly every Tuesday and Friday at 1pm. The tours last for about half an hour with time for Q&A and are hosted by DU staff, students, and alumni who are excited to share their experiences.
